Another Brick in the Wall - Pink Floyd
I saw a request for this ages ago. Never had the time to write it out, but
here it is. Since I am a beginning guitar player (my first year), there are
bound to be a lot of mistakes in this tab. Also, I am not good at timings
etc. so I advice you not to pay too much attention at the beats shown. Just
listen to the music and use this tab as a reference. Some small things to
look out for in the solo. The b means bending a string upwards, h is a
hammer-on, and p means pull-off. So if you see 13h15b it means you play the
13th fret, hammer-on to 15, and then bend 15 upwards. Also ~~ means vibrato.
At one point you will note the use of 13x and 14x in the solo. What I mean
by that is that these notes are played, but don't press the strings onto the
fretboard. Just let your fingers rest on the string at these postions.
Anyone got a clue how to call such a technique? If anyone is able to come up
with a (better or other) version of this great song then I would be greatly
interested. And now .........

Solo:
The guitar solo is played over the same bass line as the verse,
but the keyboards hold down some different chords which are
fairly subtle but really add to the feel of the piece.
NB: This solo by David Gilmour is quite modular in its structure
so I haven't really arranged it in bars, rather it's just the tab
of the phrases played.
